A delegation of advocates from the Bar Association Dehradun paid a courtesy visit to Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami at the Chief Minister’s residence today. On this occasion, the delegation extended their best wishes to the Chief Minister on the successful completion of four years of the Uttarakhand Government and appreciated the efforts being made for the overall development of the state.
The delegation expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister, stating that the state government is undertaking significant initiatives to strengthen and bring transparency to the judicial system. They particularly appreciated the efforts being made for safeguarding the interests of advocates, expanding facilities in court premises, and simplifying judicial processes.
During the meeting, a detailed discussion was also held regarding the effective implementation of the new criminal codes. The delegation stated that the implementation of these new codes would make the justice system more robust, efficient, and people-centric. The Chief Minister highlighted the crucial role of advocates in this regard and emphasized that coordination between the Bar and the Bench is essential for ensuring an effective judicial system.
The Chief Minister stated that the state government is continuously working towards the development of judicial infrastructure. Several initiatives are being undertaken, including modernization of court premises, expansion of digital facilities, promotion of the e-court system, and making judicial processes simpler and more transparent. He also mentioned that efforts are being made to ensure the construction of Bar buildings, strengthening of libraries, and provision of other essential resources for the convenience of advocates.
Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami further stated that the government is committed to strengthening law and order, expediting judicial processes, and ensuring accessible justice for all citizens. He assured that suggestions from advocates and Bar associations will be given due priority, and every possible step will be taken to make the judicial system more effective.
